Opening with a new commission from longtime Symphony friend Sydney Guillaume, this concert honors the creative spirit of those who found a new home here. Rachmaninoff’s Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini is a virtuosic masterpiece that fuses Russian heritage with American influences. After intermission, Bartók’s Concerto for Orchestra showcases the orchestra in vivid colors and textures, capturing the resilience and adaptability of a composer who embraced his new world.

A $4 Historic Preservation Fee is included in the price of all paid tickets for performances at The Fox Theater. This fee amount cannot be changed and is not discounted in association with any promotions.
